Can Rollins Win The Crowd Back Before Facing Lesnar?

Seth Rollins Championship reign failed pretty miserably. While his counterpart Kofi Kingston is having a great time with the WWE Championship, his Universal Championship reign paled in comparison and ended sooner too. Now that he has to regain the title from Lesnar, it has become hard in buying into the story of Rollins unseating Lesnar. We have seen him do it before at WrestleMania where he was a red hot baby face. Now he has lost crowd support and has become a polarizing figure for his comments towards independent wrestling.

Today’s angle with Lesnar beating the hell out of Rollins wasn’t as effective as it would’ve been in the past. You could argue that even if Roman Reigns was in this spot today, it would’ve been more effective than Rollins. Rollins has become apathetic and we can see the crowd move past his appeal. Lesnar seemed more over than Rollins. Even Rollins’s match with Ziggler showed that Rollins has a lot of work to do to recapture the imagination of the fans.
