On his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff spoke about his time with the company and how soon he knew that he was not the right choice to be Smackdown’s Executive Director.

“I knew it. Vince knew it. We both knew it. That’s why when it was time for them to let me go, I was more relieved than disappointed. I was disappointed because I didn’t live up to Vince’s expectations.”

Bischoff even went on to take full responsibility for the entire situation and stated that he struggled to adapt to working in the WWE system.
