Lawsuit Against Vince McMahon And WWE Dismissed
Back in December last year, it was reported that WWE and its Chairman Vince McMahon had been sued on behalf of the Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, as the pension fund, which holds considerable stock in WWE had reason to believe that the company had diverted resources to XFL.
If this claim was true, it would have been a direct breach of the commitment WWE has made to its shareholders, but as of a couple of weeks ago, the lawsuit, which was filed in Delaware had been voluntarily dismissed. Wrestlenomics shared the full notice on its Twitter account
“It’s difficult to know because there wasn’t really anything filed leading up to this which indicated why they were dropping the case. Likely there was some behind-the-scenes negotiations. Also, the claimed XFL valuation they were using in the case didn’t appear to be sound.”
