Roman Reigns Talks About Main-Eventing WrestleMania

Roman Reigns main-evented Wrestlemania four years in a row. Last year’s ‘Mania broke that chain as Reigns wrestled Drew McIntyre in a match way down the card. This was obviously done to protect Reigns, considering he had just returned to the ring after his leukemia went into remission. Over the course of his four successive main-events, Reigns faced Seth Rollins, Triple H, The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar on two occasions.

A lot of people expected Reigns to main-event this year’s ‘Mania as well, and it is highly likely that Goldberg vs. Reigns for the Universal Championship will main-event one of the nights of Wrestlemania 36. There have also been reports that certain backstage officials are pushing to have Reigns and Goldberg main-event the first night instead of Shayna Baszler and Becky Lynch. The man himself really doesn’t care about main-eventing.

“Don’t care where my match falls. Just happy to be healthy and fit enough to participate. Grateful to share the ring with a legend and icon on our industry’s biggest night(s). As should everyone else, in a time like this. Be safe, healthy and grateful.”

Roman Reigns

Reigns’ response proves just why WWE wants him to be the face of the company, if only Vince McMahon would resist the urge to shove him down people’s throats.
