Superstars Trying To Bring Back Banned Move To WWE
The Piledriver is one of the moves that has been banned by WWE over the years. It is seen to be too dangerous and with many Superstars having been injured while using it, it has been banned. According to Fightful Select, several Superstars have been talking to WWE’s top management to bring it back.
Kevin Owens has apparently been working on adding the Package Piledriver to his moveset, but this never makes it to Vince McMahon. If the move has the word piledriver in it, more often than not it is banned.
WWE management finally seems to be budging a little with regard to the piledriver, with the Canadian Destroyer being used by Rey Mysterio, Andrade, and Adam Cole. However, at the same time Damian Priest and Matt Riddle were told not to use the move when they did so at a live show.
This seems to be an ongoing struggle between Superstars and the management, and will be interesting to see if WWE does bring it back.
