Triple H Apologizes To Paige For His Comments
Paige had a really difficult couple of years leading up to the end of her career as an in-ring performer. First, a number of injuries put her on the shelf for multiple months, and then her relationship with the former Mexican Aristocrat ended in a very public bust-up.
But perhaps the worst thing to happen to her during this time period was to have a number of private videos and photos of herself be leaked online without her consent. It was absolute shocking and it took Paige months to recover from the entire ordeal. Not only did she have to deal with having her privacy violated to such an extent, she also had to contend with toxic fans calling her a slut or a whore for her actions.
A significant amount of time has passed since those leaks, but people have not allowed Paige to forget about it, even if it doesn’t affect her on a day-to-day basis anymore. Unfortunately, Triple H’s recent comments stating that she probably has children she doesn’t know about, has stirred up a fresh round of controversy involving the former manager of the Kabuki Warriors.
Paige had earlier commented on her Twitter that, “Even my boss jokes about me…no wonder you guys still do it too.” Renee Young leapt to her friend’s defense on Twitter saying, “Big love to Paige. She’s been to hell and back but still some people wanna make jokes. We need (and she deserves) real change.” It was great to see the host of WWE Backstage defend her friend and colleague.
Paige talked about Triple H’s comments in an interview saying that Triple H has reached out to her. Triple H took to Twitter to apologize saying, “I’ve reached out to @RealPaigeWWE to apologize. I made a terrible joke and I’m sorry if it offended her or anyone else.”
