Why WrestleMania 36 Is Being Held Over Two Days
With WWE taking place over two days now, the real reason that this is happening has now been revealed. A report by PW Insider confirmed the same, addressing the announcement saying that they would be able to broadcast it over two days as doing so over one day would cause a lot of production issues over managing so many talent and staff all in one place with the current restrictions that are in place.
“If they broadcast the entire Wrestlemania card over one day, they would run into a lot of production issues just in terms of the logistics of having and managing so many talents, producers, staff, etc. in one place at the same time under the current restrictions.”
The report then went on to say that some bits of the show could actually be pre-taped and broadcast later. The multiple locations will allow WWE to keep switching between locations with the show not being made to feel monotonous in any way. With a closed set, this would make it very difficult for any details regarding the pre-taped portion actually being leaked outside.
“The multiple locations will allow WWE to switch from place to place and keep the broadcast from looking and feeling monotonous. That could also allow WWE to pre-tape material (and even matches) for insertion into the broadcast, as a closed set might make it easier for the company to keep spoilers from leaking.”
