WWE Has Been Taping Multiple Shows
WWE recently had an immensely hectic few days of shooting. According to PW Insider, WWE completed the taping of two entire episodes each of SmackDown and 205 Live. PW Insider reported that the shoot had lasted the entire day and that every person who was involved in the process was working really hard so as to put forward their best foot in the light of the current circumstances. The company is doing whatever they can to have enough content and to keep the talents secure in the coming weeks. WWE is hoping to present fresh content every week and that’s why they are taping the recent shows, so as to make sure they have the content available.
“I am told it was an extremely long day that started early this morning and ran pretty much all day and well into the evening. Everyone is working as hard as they can to get everything done so that the company is “protected” in terms of content over the next several weeks so that no matter what, they are guaranteed to present new, original content in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.”PW Insider
The coronavirus is resulting in a lot of people being forced to make changes, be it AEW with Blood and Guts or WWE with WrestleMania. WWE is pre-recording almost all of their shows and a large part of the WrestleMania event will also be pre-recorded, allowing Superstars to continue with their self isolation at the moment.
While all the shows leading into WrestleMania are expected to be recorded in advance, Fightful is reporting that it does not stop there. Instead, the RAW after WrestleMania 36 will also be pre-recorded. This is a big blow as this is always one of the biggest shows of WWE each year, but this year promises to be disappointing in that regard, as the crowd is always the best part of the RAW after WrestleMania.
