WWE Offers NXT Wrestlers A Raise
According to Fightful Select, there were several members of the NXT Roster who received huge rises in their wages in October of 2019, with the intention of locking down Superstars so that they did not go to AEW.
The contracts were also for the duration of three years, and it appears that a number of Superstars have not signed them. The contracts came at the same time as when NXT became televised and a legitimate third brand as opposed to a developmental one as they had been for so long.
“Several NXT talent got significant raises back in October when the new television deal with USA Network kicked in. We heard that it wasn’t exactly Raw or Smackdown money, but was “substantial” for those that ended up signing them compared to what they were making before.”
“We’re told that most of the contracts came with new three-year agreements as a result. Not all of the talent offered signed the new deals. We’re working to find out who offered is among those.”Fightful Select
With the identities of the Superstars who have not signed the contract not known for the time being, it remains to be seen who they are.
