WWE Signs The Rock’s Daughter, Simone Johnson

WWE often sees the sons or daughters of some of their best wrestlers also try to make their name in the business. Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas, The Usos, and Roman Reigns are all second or third generation Superstars.

They have done well, having been introduced to the world of wrestling a long time back early in their lives. Now, the daughter of one of the biggest names in wrestling, Simone Johnson, has been signed by WWE.

Simone Johnson is the daughter of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and had talked about how she wanted to become a WWE Superstar. She is currently only 18-year-old, and Sara Amato, the Assistant Head Coach of the Performance Center has said that she is passionate and has a lot of heart, although she naturally has a lot more to learn before becoming a Superstar.

“She knows she has a lot to learn. She’s hungry to learn, she’s picking the coaches’ minds. I see her talking to the veteran Superstars as well. She’s not going to rest on her laurels, I’ll tell you that. It’s been a short time but she’s been crushing it.”

While she still has a lot to learn, she has now signed with WWE and that means that she will be training in the WWE Performance Center regularly.

And if there was any doubt about what her father felt, The Rock is 100% behind his daughter following his footsteps.

“I love the idea. We had this big conversation, she came with me to Hong Kong [and] Beijing. I said, ‘Honey, whatever your passion is, I support that.’ And wrestling was good to me, I started my career in Madison Square Garden. So, yeah, bring it on, she’s going to be a champ.”

It should also be noted, that while she has been training part time since 2018 in the Performance Center and has impressed her coaches, she is also in college. Xavier Woods and Humberto Carrillo are two Superstars who study while, wrestling, as does Nikki Cross. It will be interesting to see if Simone Johnson does that too.
