WWE Wants To Name Town After King Corbin
WWE has been known to push certain stars to unimaginable heights in the past, but this is crazy, even for Vince McMahon. On January 12th, WWE will be hosting a live event at the Corbin Arena in Corbin Kentucky, which is also the hometown of Colonel Sanders, the man who gave us Kentucky Fried Chicken.
According to a report from a local CBS affiliate, WWE will have representatives present at the Colonel Sanders statue to collect names on a petition to change the town’s name to King Corbin, Kentucky. That’s right, if things go the way WWE wants them to, King Corbin will have a town named after him.
Who cares about championships if there is literally a town named after you? King Corbin has been feuding with Roman Reigns for the last several months. The Revival, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode have also gotten involved, while The Big Dog has backup in the shape of The Usos. It is highly unlikely that Corbin is going to emerge victorious in this feud, especially if the plan is to have Reigns face The Fiend for the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 36.
Regardless of how things turn out, Corbin can always think about how WWE wanted to a name a town after him and feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
