XFL Ratings And A Player Does Randy Orton’s Pose
XFL is Vince McMahon’s Football League which he has brought back once again, after the initial failure of the brand back in the day. While there was very little to do with wrestling other than the ownership, there were a few references here and there with Los Angeles Wildcats player Jordan Smallwood scoring a touchdown and then referencing Randy Orton with the famous arms outstretched pose of the Viper to celebrate.
When it comes to the viewership, the first game did well in viewership, garnering 3.3 Million viewers on ABC. They had a peak of 4 million viewers at the end of the game, where DC Defenders defeated Seattle Dragons 31-19.
The original XFL had a massive 14 million viewers back in the February of 2001 for its premier, however, after that the bottom dropped out and in week eight had an 84% drop.
Now, it will be worth seeing how the company does this time around.
